back to bloggin'

Not sure if it's a permanent decision, but I thought I'd start writing on here again. It's been more than a year since last time I posted something (May 6, 2009). Maybe, eventually I'll move all of this over to my own website.

The past year has been full of a lot of things, but my memory fails me at the moment everything that happened. So to recap the most recent things:
  • I've been interning at Indianapolis Monthly magazine since January, which has been a great learning experience and fun at the same time. I'll be at the magazine until the end of May, then trying to find full-time employment like so many others.
  • I finished at Purdue (again) last weekend. Now I've got professional writing under my belt!
  • I ran/walked the Indy 500 Mini-Marathon. I didn't meet the goal I had wanted to, but I've decided I'll sign up for the Indy Monumental Half-Marathon again. This time, the plan is to actually, really properly train so that my goal is achievable. What an idea, huh?
  • Oh, and I moved to Indy in March and live a block away from the Indianapolis Museum of Art with my good friend, Emily.
Other things -- I finally got around to watching "The Girl in the Cafe," which I really liked and makes me appreciate Bill Nighy even more. And, I bought She & Him "Volume Two" today. I've got the first two songs, "Thieves" (love the strings arrangement) and "In the Sun," on repeat . I'll make it to the others later this week...

It's funny that you started (perhaps) blogging again. I have four blogs I dutifully check out regularly--and here you are! It pays off to be anal retentive!

Keep posting!

Hey Tom! I've been meaning to write more often on here, but things have been busy, as they are for everyone. But, I've got a good feeling about this weekend...I may get around to writing a few posts *gasp*!

How the heck are you?

Love the new theme!

I'm good. Sounds like things have been indeed hectic for you. Just more of the same on my end: reading, writing, and pretending to be a real scholar even though I'm still in the apprentice stage. Ah, well.

Keep it up--no pressure, but I still check in here when I make my rounds on the interwebs...
